Thanksgiving

After spending time in many different places this week, and eating several large meals, we are wondering where the week has gone! Has it already been a week? I am not as tired as I thought I would be after traveling and spending basically a day with each family, but I'm not ready for school to start again; that's for sure!

Here are just a few pictures from our busy and wonderful week. If you'd like to see them all, go to our pictures link. We hope you've all had a great Thanksgiving!

this new tire swing tastes good!

I like Thanksgiving!

I love my cousin Caleb!

Ok, you be the judge...does he say, "Pops?" He's said, "Dada," and now (possibly) Pops.
Come on, Evan...it's time to say, "MAMA!"

Evan met Alia's niece, Ansley, before Thanksgiving and loved her...but she wasn't quite so sure about the whole thing!

Ok, I just had to add this video because Evan was soooo cute sitting on the tire swing!

I love watching my Dad with Evan. They seem so happy together!

We hope you've all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and we look forward to reading all of your blogs to hear about your holiday! We love you all.

Halloween, Sitting Up,

So, Nick & Alia have graciously allowed us to borrow a camera cord that fits our camera so that we can share all of our wonderful pictures with you! There have been some new developments with Evan, and we're so excited to share them with you! Some pictures don't have a milestone attached to it, but are just so cute!

Evan & his 1st Halloween!:

Evan dressed as a frog for his first Halloween, and was adorable! We took him to church where we enjoyed walking around and watching what type of activities we would be doing with him next year (he was too small to do anything except look cute in his costume!).

Sitting Up:

When Evan makes his mind up to learn something, you'd better believe that he'll focus on it wholeheartedly and learn it quickly. The day he turned 5 months, I remember thinking, "Wow! He doesn't just try to grab things anymore...he can just do it!" The same thing happened with sitting up. The very day that he turned 6 months old, I was practicing with him on our bed around 9am. He thought it was fun to stay up for 1-2 seconds and then fall over laughing! Later that day when Chris was home, I told him about what we'd been doing and decided to show him. We sat Evan up, and waited...and waited...and waited...but he never fell over! He just made up his mind that he wanted to sit up, so he did!

(he knows he's a big boy!)

His foot in his mouth:

This one is fun! Evan "found" his feet around 4 1/2 months old. However, he hadn't put the feet in his mouth at that time. Around 5 1/2 months old, he stares at his foot after his bath...and then just puts it in his mouth! It was so cute! Now it is his favorite thing to "chew" on!

(excuse the cute nakedness!)

Just being plain adorable!:

Here are some pictures of him, for no particular reason, just that he is our handsome little man! Enjoy!

Evan Withdrawals

This post is more for me to write down the way I'm feeling right now and release some stress. I am mainly just going through "Evan withdrawals." The past 3 days, Evan has come home from daycare, and not had a nap anywhere from 12-2pm (while it would then be 5 or 6 pm). Since he has been coming home so sleepy, I am able to nurse him for a few minutes before he gets very cranky, but then goes to sleep. So even though he's right here in my house, I haven't really played with my son in 3 days! I miss him! It got so bad this morning that I drove to work crying and wishing that I could just take the day off and spend it with him (which I might just do after this Christmas program is finished!). Please pray that he would be able to get more sleep at daycare so that we can spend more time together in the afternoon before bedtime; I need more than 3 hours in 3 days with him!

Tupperware, anyone?!

I was at the Champion Forest Baptist Church craft show today, and found....(drumroll, please!)...tupperware! Yes, it sounds silly, but there was a booth with "old timey" tupperware! They had the old drink pitchers with the squeeze top lid, as well as the sippy cups I used to use as a child.
Well, I didn't buy any because they didn't have what I needed at the booth, but I checked out the website once I got home. They offer the chance to have an online party option, and I thought that might be a great idea! So, I wanted to throw it out there that if anyone would be interested in looking through the items and might purchase something, I would go ahead and book an online party. You simply find what you want and order it online from my party without having to go to someone's house!

Please leave a comment if you would be interested in ordering something from the website, and if enough people are interested, then I'll book an online party!

Here's the website if you want to check it out ahead of time:
