Family

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you so much for the family that you have blessed me with. I pray that I can be as much of a blessing to them that they are to me.

Amen

----------

These past two weeks have been amazing. First of all, bringing Aubrie home was a great moment for our family. Adding another child has me feeling fulfilled in a way that I never thought I could be. But my family has been so fantastic over the past few weeks. From a husband who is willing to get up and change 4 poopy diapers in an hour so that I could get a few more minutes of sleep, to a sister who is willing to do the dishes and play with Evan any chance she gets, to a Mom who is willing to drive back and forth, even with some craziness going on at her job, and to a brother and sister-in-law who are willing to babysit so that Chris and I can go out on a date as well as bring dinner over several times so that we didn't have to worry about what to eat. All of these things might seem small, but it's the thought that went into each action that has me feeling overwhelmed with gratitude and thankful for the people God has placed in our lives.

I feel like things have gone very smoothly with the addition of Aubrie to our family, and I know that is only because of all of the help that we have received so far. I felt the same feeling after we brought Evan home; gratitude for the help and knowing that we definitely couldn't do it by ourselves! Chris is about to go back to work, and that has me feeling a bit scared because I know I will be by myself with 2 children now. But as I've been saying, I know everything will be alright because I have people who I know I can call on if I'm feeling overwhelmed.

I just wanted to publicly say thank you to all my family and all of our friends who have been so supportive throughout this time in our lives. Please know that we realize that we couldn't be successful parents without your help, and our family is better because of you.

New Blog

Hey everybody! My Mom just recently gave me this really cool cookbook, and I had the idea to bake my way through it and blog about it, kinda like the Julie/Julia movie that just came out. I'm not going to give myself a time limit or anything, because I just don't think I'd do it if I had to keep a schedule. But for fun, I am just going to make my way through the book as I feel like baking, and then write about each recipe (or at least a good portion of the recipes; there are like 745 recipes!).

Here is the address for my new blog:

Enjoy the recipes! (Although, I haven't made any yet, so there aren't any posts yet. I'll get to it soon, I promise! The first recipe is for Almond Apricot cookies; yum!)

Aubrie's 1st checkup

This morning we took Aubrie into the doctor for her first pediatric checkup, and she did great! We checked her weight, and she is already back up to her birthweight (and a little extra!); she now weighs 7 lbs 5.2 oz. We also measured her, and she's already grown 1/4 of an inch! She is now 20 1/4 inches long; I'm right that they grow up fast! Since she was already back up to her birthweight, they decided to go ahead and give her the 2nd newborn screening test, which is always hard to watch, but she did really well. That is a hard test for them because it's not quite as fast as a shot. She did like her carseat a lot better, though, after going through the newborn test (I guess it wasn't so bad compared to what she had just gone through!). She has a clogged tear-duct that I need to keep cleaning, but Evan had that as well and I know how to handle it. And, we found out that the little red spots on Aubrie's face are definitely small birth marks, called "stork bites." She said that these on the front of the face tend to go away all the time, and the ones on the back of the head (like Evan's birthmark) tend to go away about 50% of the time.

It was also our first glimpse of going places in public with both children. It was definitely different having to watch Evan and keep him occupied, keep Aubrie happy (I ended up nursing her in the waiting room because it was time for her to eat, and she was crying), fill out new paperwork, etc all together. And that was with both parents! I know I'm in for some craziness in the next few months while I get used to dealing with both kids by myself during the day, and today was just my first glimpse at that.

We are happy and blessed to have 2 healthy children!

Evan's ABC's

Chris and I were astounded to hear Evan singing this from his crib on February 16th when he woke up from his nap: (This actual video was taken after his nap at snack time.) He can make it up to the letter P pretty well now!

Already One Week

Wow, Aubrie, you're already one week old! It seems like we were just sitting around waiting for your arrival, and now you've already been here for a week! It's just proof that life goes by too fast. I look up and your brother seems so grown up all of a sudden, I guess because you're so tine right now. I'm still coming to terms with the fact that he is almost 2 years old, and now you're already 1 week. If you see me break down in random tears in the coming years as I stare at you and your brother, it will be tears of joy and great memories; they just go by too fast.

Evan at 21 months old

We are learning your personality. You love to be held, but you are getting used to sleeping in the bassinet by yourself and doing well with that. You are very strong, and are already trying to hold your head up when on our shoulder. You also try to kick your legs out and stand on your "own" when we try to burp you, especially if you're upset with us. You do get upset sometimes when it's time for you to nurse, and I think it's because (don't get upset when you read this years from now because I love you!), you're a bit lazy! However, you don't give up right away, even if I can tell you don't want to keep going. I'm fairly certain that your first word is going to be "suck" because that's what I keep saying, "Just suck, Aubrie, you can do it!"

We are still getting to know your little sounds. I think because you spit up so much in the hospital (from not being in the birth canal but 10 minutes and not having the amniotic fluid squeezed out), we are a bit nervous about you choking in your sleep; therefore we jump at every little noise. But then we hear your sigh or breathe and we relax. We are also back in the habit of checking to make sure you are still breathing, which never really goes away but seems to get better as you will get older (we still check on Evan every night before going to bed).

We are getting used to holding a person who is so small. Evan was already 9 pounds when he was born, and after losing weight at the hospital (normal), you are now only 6 lbs 12 oz, and you feel so tiny! We didn't buy many newborn outfits because we never used them with your brother, and you grow so fast in the beginning that we didn't think we'd need them very long. However, almost every newborn outfit we put on you swallows you! I foresee our first shopping trip together in the near future as we go shopping for more outfits that fit you.

I'm sure it'll be no time and I'll be writing about your first month. Until then, your Daddy, Evan, and I look forward to getting to know more of your personality. We love you so very much, and are happy to add you to our family. I hope that we can show you how much you are loved, and that you will always feel happy and safe with us.

Oh, What a Night

Wow... that is all I can say after last night. Chris and I haven't pulled an all-nighter since college when we were studying for Dr. Murphy-Manley's music history exams! Aubrie would NOT go to sleep last night. Well, she would, but only after nursing for 10 minutes and then falling asleep. Then we would lie her down in her pack-n-play and run to the bed to try and get some sleep. Then after about 20-30 minutes she would wake up crying again and wanting to nurse.

I think that she had gas last night and that was what kept her up. I'm just hoping that it is not a recurring event for too long! I understand that I will be tired, but 1 hour sleep in a day and half is going a little past my limit!

Please pray that she would go back to her other schedule of sleeping well and that Chris and I would be able to snag some sleep sometime.

PJ's Forever

My Mom got Evan a pair of "Lightening McQueen" pj's while she was up this weekend, and Evan LOVES them! When they came up to visit on Monday and to take us all home from the hospital, Evan showed up in his new PJ's and no shoes because he just couldn't bear to take them off. Haha, of course he likes to try and take them off himself before we wake him up from his naps now. So, we walk in and he'll have one arm out of his shirt and say, "Ow, arm hurt!" But then he won't let us take the pj's off!
He's growing up so fast.

The Olympics

On Sunday night while Chris and I were at the hospital getting no sleep with a gassy baby, my Mom was at our house watching Evan. I remember watching the Olympic Figure Skating while nursing Aubrie, and it turns out that they were watching the same thing.
It turns out that Evan was REALLY into watching the figure skating! My Mom said that while the routines were going on, Evan started dancing! He would spread his legs kind of like the splits, and hold his arms out, and turn round and round. And then he asked my Mom, Grammy, to hold his hands and he danced with her! He kept looking back at the tv and trying to do what the skaters were doing and trying to do that with Grammy. So cute! I wish I could have seen that!

Baby Aubrie is Here!!!!!

Aubrie Carol Gonzales arrived on February 13, 2010 at 9:26pm in a very exciting way! She weighs 7 pounds, 4 ounces, and is 20 inches long.

Chris trying to get in some last minute lesson plans for his sub

Chris also wanting to look sexy for the hospital with a new haircut-early in the morning before contractions really started.

After laboring during the day, with contractions not really getting organized until after we took a walk around 4:30 (they were about 15 minutes apart before then, and really started to get going after the walk: down to 7 or 8 minutes apart). Then about 7:15pm, the contractions jumped from about 6 minutes apart to no more than 2-3 minutes apart, and were very strong. By 7:30 Kim was having strong contractions one right after another, and we decided to head to the hospital as soon as possible. We made it to the hospital by 8:10pm or so, and the nurse in triage said that Kim "definitely had the look of labor!" Which was true, because she was already at 8cm dilated by then! Just a few minutes later when they came back in, Kim had dilated to 9 cm (maybe within 5-10 minutes?). The nurse asked if Kim wanted an epidural, to which Kim replied very quickly, "Yes, please!" The nurse responded by saying, "I hope we can get one in on time!"

We were then taken to our delivery room, where the anesthesiologist came in and tried to do a spinal block so that it would work faster. It didn't take, however, because Kim's left leg twitched, but she could still feel her right side (due to scoliosis, but the Dr didn't have time to make it work right). So, he gave her an epidural, which he said would take about 10 minutes to work... It did start working, after the baby was born! The doc stayed in the room for the delivery and asked Kim right before delivery, "Is the medicine working yet?", to which Kim replied, "In my feet!" Kim's water broke a few seconds later, which the delivering doctor (Dr. Nichols) said was the only reason that we didn't have the baby in the car on the way to the hospital! After that it was just a few contractions, maybe 10 or 12 pushes, and Aubrie was here! The medicine started working just as the doctor had to stitch Kim up (thank goodness at least for that!).

like the hairdo after her first bath?!

beautiful baby girl

Aubrie was very alert when she arrived, and has hardly cried since then. She likes to look around and observe everything and everyone. She has also taken very well to nursing, and seems to only cry when she wants to eat. She has black hair, and we can't tell exactly what color her eyes are yet; they look either brown or green/hazel.

I think Evan liked my hospital bed!

Evan came in this morning to meet his new baby sister, and the first word out of his mouth was, "buttons!" He ran straight for some really expensive piece of medical equipment (which he didn't break, thank goodness), and tore around the room checking everything out. He finally took a few minutes to meet Aubrie, and wanted to keep touching her face (so cute!). He's going to make a wonderful big brother!

she didn't really like her car seat until we got in the car, where she promptly fell asleep the entire way home

the first time for our new family to be together in the car

We are tired, but happy and excited all at the same time. Now we just need to adjust to having two kids and making life work; which we know we can do with God's help.

Thank you for all of the prayers and support; we have felt all of it!

On our way to the Hospital!!

We are on our way to St. Lukes in the Woodlands!!!!! Kim's doing great!

Baby Aubrie is Gearing Up!!!

Tonight might be the night!!!! Kim has been laboring since about 1:00pm. It is 5:53pm and the contractions are about 7-10 minutes apart for the last 4 hours. They are not very consistent but the contractions are getting stronger and stronger. We will keep you all posted!

Is She Coming?!

We think Aubrie is coming today! I woke up this morning and didn't feel very good at all. There have been some other signs that just make us think that we will get to meet her sometime today or tonight! I haven't gone into regular contractions, but my "cramps" are getting stronger for sure. This happened the same way with Evan as well. It took a couple of hours for my contractions to really start and get regular once I felt yucky last time. So, hopefully in the next few hours things will get moving!

I must admit that I'm getting a little nervous about the birth. I was feeling pretty tough and ready to go... until the cramps started getting worse this morning. Now I remember what it was like, and I know that it's just going to get harder! I have prayed that I would remember that God is with me in the middle of the pain, and I know He will be. It's just scary when I start to remember what it was like! Wish me luck!

39 Week Checkup

Our doctor is out of town this week, so I met with Dr. Peet (the same doctor who actually delivered Evan!) for our 39 week checkup.

First of all, I haven't gained any weight in the past 3 weeks! I mean, I'm ok with that :), but I wanted to make sure that it was healthy for the baby. They said that some women actually lose weight around this time. I guess I'm "losing" weight and the baby is gaining weight, so it all evens out I guess.

Also, I'm still about 3 cm dilated, but I'm now 60-75% effaced (last week I was about 50% effaced). So, at least things are progressing! Although, for all the contractions that I've had lately, I thought I would have dilated a little bit more. Oh well, there goes my dream of making it to 5 or 6 cm with relatively no pain before going into the hospital... :) A girl can dream, right?!

So, if Aubrie hasn't joined us on her own by Monday, then I'm scheduled for an induction. I have to be there at 6am to fill out some paperwork, and then they break my water, give me the devil juice (pitocin), promptly followed by an epidural (at least it'd better be!), and wait for her arrival! So no matter what, we will have a baby girl by Monday night!!!!

I can't believe that it's already time to meet her!!!!!! This will sound silly, but I haven't been able to picture her face. I can picture holding the rest of her, but I can't seem to picture what her face might look like. Here is the silly part: while watching American Idol last night, one of the contestant's wife had their first baby. Chris and I both almost started crying when they showed the mom holding the baby! It's like it hit us with what it will be like to actually see and hold a baby again; and we can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baby Shower

Tonight, I was humbled beyond belief when I walked into orchestra rehearsal and saw a cake and baby shower presents from the fabulous members of the CFBC orchestra for my family, and for the arrival of our daughter, Aubrie Carol Gonzales.

Chris and I were so proud of ourselves for getting to practice a full 7 minutes early, which happened even though it was raining outside. As we walk in, I'm carrying our clarinet cases to our seats, and Lizette says, "We're having a shower for you!" Haha, for some reason I just laugh and think that she is joking (I don't know why). But when I turn around there is a cake and diapers stacked up all around it! I was astounded and totally surprised! Chris knew about it for about a week, and he did a fantastic job of keeping it a secret (thanks, honey!).

After practice, everyone came together and prayed for us, which was especially touching. Chris and I have been so lucky to be lead to such a wonderfully caring church family. We are thankful that God brought us to such a wonderful place where people are so caring. We really do feel like we are in a family there, and that is such a wonderful feeling. Thank you, orchestra friends, for everything that you have done for our family, which is more than you'll ever know.

After the prayer, everyone got to enjoy cake and refreshments together. They even had coke there, which I've been seriously craving for like a week! It was wonderful! And to top it all off, they even bought Evan a present so that he wouldn't feel left out; a dump truck play set (which was very neat because he knew exactly what it was and yelled "dump trunk!"). He was ready to open it and play right then! But then of course, the cake and coke caught his attention and the toy was momentarily forgotten.

Thank you again to everyone who helped with this; you will never know how much it is appreciated.

Only...

9 DAYS TO GO before we meet baby Aubrie! We are in single digits!!!!!!

Evan: 21 Months Old

Evan's Favorite Things:

* to watch the Disney movie Cars over, and over, and over, and over again...
* loves to tell me he's a Big Boy
* likes to play with his police car & fire truck
* loves airplanes; especially waving goodbye to them
* his favorite show changes from Sesame Street, to Thomas the Tank Engine, to Barney, to the Wiggles
* naming the stuffed animals in his bed when he's sleepy: puppy, turtle, turtle (there are 2 different stuffed turtles), big bird (really Fox in Socks), blanket ("banket"), and binky.
* loves to pretend he's asleep and will snore while getting one of us to play along, and then wake us up by "yelling" at us (not really that loud)
* loves to sit on the couch with Mommy, and won't let me get up sometimes! I'll start to get up, and he'll say, "Mommy, no, hit (sit)!" I must admit that I don't always mind that he wants to snuggle with me on the couch!
* loves to play with other children, especially a little girl named Eva who he sees on Monday nights when Chris and I are at orchestra practice. Sometimes he will just say her name all the way home from church, and tell us the toys that they played with.
* loves things/toys that he can take apart and put back together again
* loves things that make him feel like a big boy, and loves to do anything that makes him Mommy's helper.
* likes to drink out of his big boy cup at the breakfast table (that's the only place Mommy lets him drink out of regular cup by himself right now)
* still loves to go through the list of family members all the time
* he loves his Daddy's truck, and is always wondering where it is or what it's doing. Sometimes he'll see another red truck on the road and think it's Chris' and say, "Daddy's truck, there ihis!"
* his favorite book was If You Give a Pig a Pancake, and he loved eating pancakes for a while. Now he really enjoys an interactive Cars book that his Aunt Elke gave him at Christmas time last year.
* loves to say his prayers before going to sleep, and will say "amen"
* loves broccoli!
* loves to try and take his diaper off
* likes to drink coke, but only little sips at a time because the bubbles make him make the cutest faces!
* likes eating limes and lemons (weird, I know!)
* his favorite snack still remains crackers (any kind, but mostly graham or animal crackers)

New Things:

* started eating Cheerios in his own cereal bowl
* stopped asking for oatmeal every morning
* put 2 words together most of the time at the beginning of the month, and is now spitting out 3 word "sentences" regularly
* says, "Are you?!" and loves to hide & be found
*is getting "pretty good" at naming colors; he can recognize orange and yellow, and everything else is blue...
*can be heard either counting things to himself ("two, two, tee, two), or saying his ABC's (bee, hee, bee, hee)
* can repeat when I count from one to ten in both english and spanish (although in english, he doesn't always say "one." If I say One, he goes on to say Two, up until I get to three when he starts repeating the rest of them after me).
* he can repeat all the way through the alphabet (has been doing this for several months, though)
* likes to say that there are two of things: 2 puppies, 2 babies, 2 "yegs" (legs), 2 eyes, etc.
* we have to take turns at everything. He will say, "Daddy's turn?" (even if Daddy is not at home), or "Enan's turn?"
* he is going through the "uh uh, nope" stage, and we are trying very hard to get him to say "No, thank you" instead. He will generally say it when we ask, and it's so cute! He really is a very obedient and polite kid (probably because we make him say it! But it's a good habit to get into anyway).
* he understands that some things are his (Enan's), and some things are Mommy's or Daddy's- things like cups, or plates, etc.
* started calling me Mommy instead of Momma
* doesn't ask to color (holor) as much, but likes to paint
*will bow his head at meal times when we pray (all the while peeking to see if we're still doing the same thing), and will raise his arms and say "amen!" when finished

Superbowl Streaking

We spent a wonderful Superbowl afternoon yesterday with Chuck & Lynne Campbell. Lynne really outdid herself by making great bacon wrapped filet mignon steaks, HUGE baked potatoes, corn on the cob, asian salad, and cheese biscuits. Yummy! After eating, the boys continued to watch the game while the girls got together and made some cute Easter crafts. Lynne is so creative, and I love being around her to learn new things.

Some of us had even more fun than others... You may be wondering why you see a naked baby in the video below? Just imagine Chris going to change a diaper, and finding poop ALL OVER THE BACK OF YOUR TODDLER... Chris calls me over, and all I see is a naked baby running around someone else's living room! You have to admit that it's a cute hiney, though!
(PS~ Please ignore the annoying laugh that you hear on the tape... I hate to hear myself on tape!)

We were also able to catch Aiden talking a little bit. He's growing up so fast!

Sesame Street Live

This morning we took Evan to see Sesame Street Live, and we all had a blast! I think Evan was a little overwhelmed at first, but eventually started asking, "Big Bird, Go?!" when Big Bird would leave the stage. I think he also enjoyed being surrounded by all of the other kids. It was a little bit loud inside the arena, but I guess that kept the kids attention (but all of the adults were ready to leave the noisy place!). At the end, Evan was even clapping along, and kept saying, "Bye, Bert!" when the show was over. I'm glad he enjoyed himself, and we all had fun watching him.

After the show, we went out to eat lunch for my Mom's birthday with my Mom, Clarie, Bobby, Alison, Mama D, Chris, Evan, and I. We ate at Escalante's in Meyerland Plaza, and it was yummy! We had a great time hanging out, and I was really proud of Evan who was very well behaved even though it was well into his nap time. He even made a point of getting the waiter's attention to say thank you for bringing his drink! Can you believe that?
(I didn't seem to take any pictures of us eating lunch... bummer!)

Pregnancy Pictures

Here is a link to the pictures that we took at JC Penney tonight. They turned out great!

(I'm not sure how this works; I hope you can see the pictures. All it is showing me is the frame number... Maybe since we just took them tonight, they will be online tomorrow...)

Pregnancy Update

So I've been having small contractions about every 15-20 minutes for like the past 3 days. They haven't gotten stronger or more painful, and aren't "exactly" the same amount of time in between each one, so I haven't worried about, just tried to keep track and pay attention. But today has been a long one, that's for sure.

Today was busy:
My dachshund Buttercup, woke up 2 mornings ago acting like she couldn't breathe and walking with her tail between her legs. I thought her collar was too tight, but she would nip at me whenever I'd get close enough to take it off. I finally got it off, and thought she was doing just fine. Yesterday morning, she started doing the same thing. Long story short, after calling the vet and making an appointment, we discover that she has a calcified disk in her back. So $338 later, she is on pain medicine and feeling great (even though we have to keep her "still" for the next 2-3 weeks... I'm not sure how that is supposed to happen... or why this had to happen now...).

So after taking her to the vet, my sister, Evan, and I head off to the mall to go shopping for my Mom's birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM! LOVE YOU!!). We had a blast and had fun just walking around the mall together. We ate at the mall, and even ordered a cookie cake to eat for her birthday (so yummy!, even though I won't eat it until tomorrow). We did walk around a lot, and I was glad to get home.

However; once we got home and put Evan down for his nap, the vet calls for me to go pick up Buttercup, and that took 45 minutes because we went over x-rays, etc. Then I run home with Buttercup, make sure she is settled down, and then RUN for the shower so that I have time to get ready before we head out to take maternity/family pictures (think we waited long enough?!).

After my shower, I attempt to straighten my hair with my new blow dryer (it's my first one!) and round brush... and I definitely need more practice! So 20 minutes later I started all over and wet my hair so it'd be curly. Then I still had to coordinate clothes for all of us to wear, iron everything, and fix myself up. By the time Chris got home and we left for JC Penney, I was EXHAUSTED!

The pictures turned out great, and it was fun because Nick & Alia met us at the mall with Aiden. We had a great time just walking around the mall, shopping, and just hanging out together. After walking all day, though, I'm having a lot of contractions and ready to just sit.

Who knows when Aubrie will appear?! I think it's definitely getting close. Maybe she'll come tomorrow while everyone is in the same place for Sesame Street Live; or at least by Sunday night before our doctor and Nick & Alia are out of town. All I know is that I don't think I can take it another 2 weeks.... hold on... contraction as we speak......................... I hope she gets here soon, as long as she's healthy. I can stand anything for as long as I need, as long as she is healthy.

Uh uh, Nope

We are officially in the "Uh uh, Nope" stage with our toddler. Even if he asks me for milk, and then I ask if he's thirsty, he'll say "Uh uh, nope" and then promptly ask for more milk... We are working on saying No, Thank You instead, and that's working as long as I ask him to say it, but it's not automatic yet. Hopefully this stage passes quickly, but I have a feeling we're just starting...

Aubrie's 38 Week Checkup

After going to the doctor today, Aubrie could be here anytime!

I am 3-3.5 cm dilated already, which is already 1 cm more than last week. I've been having a lot of contractions lately, and I made a joke with my doctor about that continuing until I go to the hospital and that I could make it slowly to like an 8 with no pain and then just have the baby right away... she just laughed and said, "that would be nice!"

Aubrie's heartbeat was 170 the first time we checked, but she kept moving around and we had to find it several times. The actual heart-rate written down was 166 bpm. She had the hiccups and was moving during the entire drive to see the doctor, so I guess she'd gotten her exercise in and that caused her heart-rate to go up.

I also did not gain any weight again this week. I told the doc that I am not disappointed in that AT ALL!, but was it healthy for the baby? She said as long as I'm not losing weight and the baby was still moving regularly that everything was fine. She said my weight gain was good overall (29 lbs so far) and not to worry about it.

We also talked about when she thought Aubrie might make her appearance. Since I'm progressing so well already, the doc thinks that Aubrie will be early. That could mean that she waits until her actual due date (the 17th) since Evan was 4 days late, or that she could come any time. The only problem with her coming any time is that we are taking Evan to Sesame Street Live on Saturday, and I've been looking forward to being there with him. Also, my doctor is going on vacation next week and won't be back until the 12th. Nick and Alia are also going to be out of town next week for TMEA (a music convention in San Antonio). So, although it seems like Aubrie wants to show up soon, I hope she waits until after next week so that everyone can be around.

As I write this post, though, I am thinking about all of the things that I need to do today just in case she comes soon. I am very excited to meet her, and am ecstatic for that moment to arrive! Please pray that no matter what happens, that we will have a safe delivery, and that Aubrie would be healthy, no matter when she arrives.

Cars, Cars, and More Cars

So, for a week now, it seems like I've watched nothing but the Disney movie, Cars. It all started when we were at Walmart, and they had this movie showing on some new tv's that were for sale. He kept saying, "this one," and pointing to one of the four different tv's showing the movie. So, we kept moving back and forth from the different tv's, and all the time he kept saying, "Cars!" Yes, I fell for it... and bought the movie.

That has been all I've watched since! (at least that's what it feels like). Evan even passed up Sesame Street this morning so that we could watch Cars. He kept saying, "Cars? Button? Heevee (tv)?"

Sometimes I just can't resist my little man. I talk to him constantly during the movie so he doesn't go into one of those tv trances, but I sure hope I'm not killing off brain cells by letting him watch tv this much!
