Chris and I really want to start the "tradition" of carving pumpkins with our kids each year for Halloween. We really believe that anything that lets us spend time with our kids and gives them positive memories will benefit both us and them in the long run. Even though this year it was more about the kids picking out the pumpkins, and then Mommy & Daddy carving them. We have also decided that we're not going to do the creepy spider web decorations for a while. The pumpkins turned out really cute, and they seem to be all the decorations we need! Plus, they're a lot easier to clean up once Halloween is over. Our past decorations would stick around well past Halloween before we'd find the time to take them down. We will probably still play the spooky Halloween music, though... you can't beat that!
The sky was beautiful as we were outside carving our pumpkins.
No, I'm not reading a "how-to-carve-a-pumpkin" guide on the computer. My sister was skyping from Australia while we were outside.
Chris' masterpiece.
