Spring Break 2010

If I don't write down what we are doing each day, then I'll never remember at the end of the week!

Monday:

1st we drove to the Woodlands Mall to pick up the family pictures we had taken with Nick & Alia a few weeks ago.

Next, we took Evan to Monkey Bizness (an indoor moonwalk area) for the second time. I had taken him once before with his play group, and he did not like it! We thought we'd try it again and see if he was more interested in jumping in the moonwalks now that he is older and has been interested in jumping on the couch, in his bed, etc... No such luck! Chris was even there with us this time, and all Evan wanted to do was watch his Daddy jump and play with the balls that they had on the floor of the place. It was very sweet, though, when 2 other children about his same size started playing with Evan and the balls. Evan would throw a ball, and one of the other kids would chase after it and bring it back to him. I was so proud; Evan said thank you each time someone gave him the ball back! I think he still had a good time, even though he cried big alligator tears each time we tried to make him get into a moonwalk.

Around 1:30, we left Monkey Bizness and headed over to Nick & Alia's house because Chris' Mom and Step-dad were coming over for a visit. It was a great visit, filled with yummy food, watching the grandparents with the 3 grandchildren, and then watching the kids from the cul-de-sac play together. Evan was loved playing with 3 girls from the neighborhood, and was fascinated when they started playing with rocks from Alia's next door neighbor's driveway. The girls would take plastic shovels and place rocks into a tub, and then Evan would automatically walk over and take the rocks out... The girls didn't like this too much, but seemed to get over it quickly because then they all started taking the rocks back out. At one point, Chris called over to Evan, and he replied, "playing!" It was pretty cute! We loved watching him play with the kids.

Tuesday:

Not much planned for today. It is supposed to rain, which will put a damper on our plans to go buy a new lawnmower and mow the back yard, but who knows. Clarie went to the Rodeo last night and stayed at our house afterwards, so we will probably hang out with her for a while here at the house and just relax.

(PS~pics to come as soon as I download them from the camera)
