After Evan's Dr appointment this morning, I finally have a diagnosis for what has been going on with him. It turns out that he has simply what is referred to as 'Viral Disease.' This is because it is just the simple virus that apparently causes several other viruses, like the common cold. The pediatrician said, "Don't go around telling people he has Hand Foot & Mouth, but it's the same virus that causes that." In fact, right after that she opened the palms of his hands, and sure enough there were a few small red bumps that matched what I noticed on his legs yesterday, and he also had a few bumps on the bottom of his feet. She asked if had been cranky, and wow, has he been cranky! But she said that was normal because of the blisters in his throat. Treatment? All we can do is make him as comfortable as possible to eat because the blisters are the most uncomfortable part, and to just make sure that he is getting enough fluids. Oh, and his ears were just fine; no ear infections, yeah!
It is just nice to finally know what all of this has been about! At least I can say what he has, instead of just a random jumble of symptoms that might or might not be several different things. Thanks to everyone for the great advice! It is not always easy to decide what to do as a Mom, and it is great to have such wonderful friends who happen to be Moms, too, and who can give great advice. That advice was much appreciated when I wasn't quite sure what was going on with him. Also, thanks to my Mom for putting up with the many phone calls over the past few days!

Are you going to be OK? Is it contagious?
It is nice knowing, isn't it...
Yes, I'm going to be fine. She said it wasn't any worse than the normal flu, and not to worry. She said he was most likely only contagious when he had a fever, which was only for a few hours on Saturday evening.
